Our flight from Yellowstone to Aylmer Lake leaves one with a sense of awe at how vast the landscape is up here. There is no way one can get a sense of the sheer beauty of spaciousness with out seeing it in person – there are no words to describe what one sees and feels.
Aylmer is north of the tree line and once you’re here you can understand why one would call it the “Barren Land” but the name is deceiving. Once you take a few steps through the landscape you soon discover it is all but barren. If you move slowly and look closely there is an abundance of color, endless shapes and a variety of textures. Oh, yes, “The Power of the Slowing!”
